Gordon & Annie
ReplyDeleteWhen the news broke to us on Monday of this tragedy, and the fight you were now involved in we struggled like many to comprehend what we now have to deal with.
From all of us at the Perth Branch we now send our heartfelt sympathy to Annie, Clare & Anna and the whole Family gathering today, as this will be a most difficult time for you .
To Gordy > I never got a chance to say goodbye to you mate, but I just want to thank you for all of the memories that I will now carry with me for always.
In 2001 I dared " to share the Interlloy dream " with you and over the last 7 years like others along side me I had you as a work colleague, a Boss, a Mentor and you became my good friend.
You are truly the first Boss in my whole life who has managed to be all of these things together in one package.
But Gordy you were capable of all of this and more, as others will undoubtedly agree you were one of the few true gentlemen around in a tough business , and a man of his word.
My fondest memory of you will always be our “ little talks “ when we were able to catch up when you always left me with the courage and strength to go on when times were hard for me.I am going to miss our breakfasts when you came to Perth the place you secretly loved to call your retirement plan, and we sat and just talked about " the future plans " at the branch there was always a buzz of excitement when you were coming over, as we all knew that although we had a job to do that it would be fun while we did it, the smile you had and that mischievous spirit said it all as we always agreed that " you must have a plan " .
This Industry and the Interlloy family are going to miss you badly mate, but I know as the effects of this deepen that me and my staff the branch will be able to carry on your dream and always have the benefit of your memory , we will look back at the times spent with you and we all know that you will never be far away from us.
